Entrepreneurship, the beginning…

Entrepreneurship is no more a word of stranger to us. Many citizens around the world, including Indonesia are now shifting themselves towards opening their own business, whether big or small, and make themselves an entrepreneur.

The word “Entrepreneur” originates from 13th century French verb, entreprendre, which means, “to do something”. Entrepreneur, according to the concise encyclopedia of Economics, is defined as someone who organizes, manages and assumes risks of a business or enterprise. These people are considered to be an agent of change, conducting entrepreneurship process. In narrative explanation, entrepreneurship is basically the process of discovering new ways of combining resources.

In general, the most obvious form or the start of conducting entrepreneurship is opening a new business. Other than this, chances for an entrepreneur to take up new innovations to attract the new market are high. Nowadays, in schools and universities is introducing entrepreneurship as one of their subjects, and this proves on the high trend of it. Even Harvard, one of the best universities, has graduates that now are pursuing to be an entrepreneur, and even reach the heights of huge success.
