Most
of the time, people think that building a non-profit organization is a waste of
time and money, as nothing can be gained from those type of organizations. Yet,
in the 21st century, non-profit organizations have grown up high and
proved its evolving role in this era.

public interest. The purpose must be charitable, educational, scientific,
religious or literary. These organizations get their income to generate from
the public. In a legal manner, non-profit
organization does not declare profit, but utilizes as revenue in service to
public interest.
Non-profit
organizations such as schools and hospitals play a very important role for the
citizens, especially for those who are in need. These types of organization are
built nowadays, especially in Indonesia as part of CSR (Corporate Social
Responsibilities). The owners usually are the ones with high incomes in their
personal ventures or from the place where they work, and non-profit
organization is just part of their “donation” to the society. Being well known
for their good name is the “profit” from this process, as in here, non-monetary
is achieved.
Non-profits
usually bring about a new change in the society, as they strive towards making
a change for better. At some organizations, they even help in tackling social
problems with innovative ideas, or even up to strengthening the society by
providing non-monetary aid.
With the
benefits that non-profit organization can provide, the evolving role of this
organization has gone higher lately, and changing the definition of the need of
everlasting monetary profit for life.
